Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical (2 West)

Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
* Unit operates with day shift staffing of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 secretary, and night shift staffing of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 PCTs
* 24-bed unit with a total staff of 45
* Every other weekend required
* Float coverage to PCU and Med Surg units as needed
* EMR system: MEDITECH
* Typical procedures include Foley insertion, peripheral IV placement, blood draws, and code stroke initiation
* NIH competency required
* ACLS and BLS certifications required
* BSN preferred
* Additional certification preferred
* Must demonstrate unit-specific competencies
* Scrubs: Royal Blue required
* Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset preferred

Facility:

This facility is a well-established medical center offering comprehensive inpatient care across multiple units and floors. The 2 West unit is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical floor staffed with a dedicated team of nurses, patient care technicians, and support staff. The facility utilizes MEDITECH as its electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for patient care, including stroke response protocols and a variety of clinical procedures.
