Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a large volume ED with high acuity patients required
* First time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* Epic EMR experience required
* Multiple shift options available: Days (7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM), Mids (10:00 AM-10:00 PM, 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, 12:00 PM-12:00 AM, 1:00 PM-1:00 AM, 2:00 PM-2:00 AM), Evenings (3:00 PM-3:00 AM), Nights (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required with flexibility for back-to-back weekends on rare occasions
* No on-call or floating requirements
* Scrub color: Any, no logos
* Patient ratio of 1:3-5 based on acuity in a zone-based ED setup with fast track (13 beds, green zone)
* Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric, including pediatrics (medical and trauma), stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health and substance use disorder patients
* Skills required include barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage experience (must pass hospital triage test before triaging), chest tube setup, arterial line management, trauma and code case assistance, splinting, BiPAP/ventilator management, and strong ESI knowledge
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
* Experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus

Facility:

This 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital features a 34-bed emergency department that sees 200-250 patients per day, making it the busiest ED in the state. The facility operates as a Level III trauma center providing comprehensive emergency services including stroke care, cardiac catheterization lab services, and high acuity pediatric care. The ED is organized into zones to efficiently manage the high volume of patients across a wide range of acuity levels, with stabilization and transfer capabilities for neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and complex pediatric cases.
