Open Position: RN - Newborn Nursery

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1828.56

Opportunity:

RN - NEWBORN NURSERY

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Day/night shift availability required
* 3 weekends required per schedule period
* On-call requirements apply
* Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 patients
* Newborn Nursery experience required with NICU capability
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with Level 4 NICU experience
* Postpartum experience required - candidates without this will not be considered
* Ability to manage patient load independently at a 1:5-6 ratio required
* Antepartum patient experience preferred
* Familiarity with CPN and Meditech EMR systems preferred
* Perform maternal assessments, admissions and discharge processes, postpartum pain management, and patient education coordination regarding postpartum care and follow-up
* Work with equipment including bladder scanner, doppler, breast pump, glucometer, and vital sign machines
* Scrub color requirement: navy blue
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team required
* Calm, flexible, and proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Facility:

This facility is a well-established medical center housing a 40-bed postpartum unit with a dedicated staff of 47 team members. The unit primarily cares for postpartum mothers, with occasional antepartum patients, supported by a separate nursery unit. The facility features experienced nursing staff with deep tenure, particularly on night shifts, and utilizes modern equipment and technology to deliver high-quality maternal and newborn care.
