Open Position: Dietitian - Registered Dietician

Opportunity:

Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required only if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum of two years recent experience in the field preferred
* Current BLS certification required
* Perform nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients identified with special needs or nutritional risk
* Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care including appropriate meal patterns and interventions
* Monitor nutritional intake and document all interventions in accordance with policy and practice standards
* Provide patient and family education on nutritional needs and medical nutrition therapy
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to communicate nutritional care plans and patient progress
* Administer medical nutrition therapy safely and accurately while monitoring and documenting patient response
* Supervise and orient new professional and ancillary personnel on clinical activities and job duties
* Act as an educational resource for healthcare team members including dietetic interns, patients, and family members
