Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 hours guaranteed per week
* Provide nursing care including triage, treatment, and discharge care for Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
* Complete accurate triage assessments on all patients and notify the Emergency MD of abnormal signs, symptoms, and vital signs
* Review and complete patient orders in a timely manner
* Recognize symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other impending emergencies
* Provide appropriate nursing interventions in stable and emergent patient situations
* Administer medications, intravenous therapy including blood products, and care for indwelling catheters and drains
* Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care of patients during life-threatening emergencies
* Demonstrate knowledge and skill in providing care during Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations
* Complete legible, accurate, and timely documentation of all nursing care provided
* Provide medication side effects teaching to all patients who receive medication in the ED
* Must have EPIC experience
* Minimum one year of acute care experience required
* Associate's Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (required within 6 months of hire or transfer), NIHSS
* Current RN license in state of practice required
