Job Details:

* Work full-time 8-hour shifts (64-80 hours per pay period)
* Call rotation required 1-2 days per week, every 2nd-4th weekend, and rotating holidays
* BSN required
* Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* PALS preferred
* South Dakota RN license required
* Circulate surgery cases, pull and prep for surgery cases, and work from a preference card system
* Set up, clean, and turn over OR rooms with strong organizational and note-taking skills
* Surgical specialties include general, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics
* Computer charting via Epic system with medications stored in Pyxis system
* Operate surgical equipment including arthroscopic pumps and shavers, cautery machines, laser, fracture table, and C-arm X-ray
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 in the OR, 1:1-4 in Patient Center, and 2:1 in PACU
* Potential to float within the peri-operative department including Patient Center (pre-op, post-op, and outpatient services) and PACU
* Ceil blue scrubs required and will be provided
* All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Critical Access Hospital featuring 4 OR suites, 1 procedure room, 8 PACU bays, and 18 Patient Center rooms. The facility offers a comprehensive peri-operative department providing a wide range of surgical specialties and outpatient services. New contractors will receive an initial department and general hospital orientation, along with hands-on training for equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
