Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* No on-call requirements
* No floating requirements
* Work in a 24-bed main emergency department with 12 fast track beds and 8 hall beds
* Operate equipment including Belmont, Sono-site machine, Arctic Sun, Bair Hugger, and Lucas
* Use Meditech EMR system
* Perform airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube insertion, wound care, and splinting
* Critical care experience required - candidates without this skill will not be considered
* TNCC certification required
* ENPC certification preferred
* Ultrasound IV experience preferred
* Ideal candidate demonstrates positive energy, puts patients first, works well with others, and remains calm under pressure

Facility:

This facility is a Magnet with Distinction organization, nationally recognized for nursing excellence and exceptional patient care. The Emergency Department has received Unit of Distinction and Honorable Mention awards for five consecutive years, reflecting a strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient outcomes. The facility operates as a Level III Trauma Center, houses the only Level III NICU in Denton County, a Level II Maternal Center, and a Primary Stroke Center. The Emergency Department is supported by dedicated Emergency Resource Nurses scheduled at shift changes to assist with critical patients and resuscitations, as well as Clinical Staff Support roles to provide additional clinical resources throughout the department. Leadership maintains a visible presence to assist with operational needs, staffing challenges, and patient care during high-volume and critical situations.
