Open Position: RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg (Acute Care)

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts running from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (days) or equivalent nights
* Shift notes indicate 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday shifts as needed
* Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
* Telemetry monitoring available but managed on a separate unit
* Floating required to all acute care, cardiology for medical patients, and EC for acute care patient holds
* CNA support available at ratios of generally 1:10, CNAs may also serve as sitters
* Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue
* Charting system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
* General orientation: 1 week including EMR training; floor-specific orientation: 2 days
* 1 year of experience required with at least 1 travel assignment
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS (both must be AHA)
* Strict 75-mile radius requirement from address on driver's license to hospital
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks

This acute care facility operates a 44-bed unit staffed by approximately 40 healthcare professionals, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to its patient population. The facility offers telemetry capabilities, CNA support, and a structured orientation program to ensure travelers are well-equipped to deliver high-quality patient care. The organization supports a collaborative care environment with floating opportunities across acute care and cardiology units.
