RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
* Required certifications: ACLS, NRP; ALSO certification preferred
* Care for antepartum, laboring, and post-partum patients
* Work in a facility with a Level 3 NICU, caring for patients requiring a higher level of care
* Facility performs approximately 200 deliveries per month
* Required skills include independent IV starts and lab draws from IV start, accurate vaginal exams, labor support, and fetal monitor strip interpretation according to NICHD guidelines
* Must have strong ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, ask questions comfortably, and adapt easily to a new unit
* Travelers are typically not assigned to triage role and are not required to circulate unless they have previous experience
* May serve as 2nd RN in OR if candidate has prior experience and is comfortable in that setting
* EMR system: EPIC
* May float to Mother Baby unit
* Every other weekend rotation as needed
* No mandatory call
* Scrubs are provided in navy blue; Labor and Delivery staff are expected to change into scrubs at the hospital
* Free parking available
