Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry/Step-Down
Job Details:
* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 hours
* Every other weekend coverage required, may change based on need
* Floating to other med-surg units may be required based on census needs
* Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Step-down unit from ICU; no ventilators or pressor support
* Patient diagnoses include higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
* Drips managed include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
* Telemetry monitoring required
* Special equipment includes peritoneal dialysis
* Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drip titration, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pre/post hemodialysis management, and tracheostomy care
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Tennessee nursing license required
* Block scheduling type
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
