Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Treat patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics including general ED patients such as trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for RN (variable upon patient acuity) and 1:11 for Tech
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC and NRP preferred
* Skills required include EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating BiPAP, suture removal, assisting with casting, and vent management
* Charge nurse (CRN) experience should be noted in submission
* Charting system: FirstNet
* No floating required
* Orientation includes two days of hospital orientation and one day with a preceptor
* Weekend rotation every other weekend
* No call required
* Holiday coverage as needed; time off requires manager approval
* Scrub color: Any color, professional; hospital scrubs available but not required
* On-site locker/changing room, gym, and free parking available

Facility:

This 89-licensed-bed teaching facility operates an 11-bed emergency department that includes 3 trauma ED beds, 1 behavioral seclusion room, and 2 negative pressure rooms. The facility provides comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy, ED providers, mid-level providers, hospitalist coverage 24/7, house supervisor, critical care transport team assistance, ED techs, and 24/7 security.
