Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Med-Surg

Job Details:

* Work three full 12-hour shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 48-hour guarantee available
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 30-bed cardiac med-surg unit
* Self-scheduling available
* Unit staffed with 6 nurses per shift, a free CNC/charge nurse, unit secretary on day shift, and 3 PCTs per shift
* Experience with cardiac medications and drips required, including titrated drips such as Cardizem and heparin, as well as non-titratable drips including dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
* Must have cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification skills
* Med-surg experience required with familiarity of Meditech documentation system preferred
* Equipment used includes GE telemetry and Rover, portable WOWs, Welch-Allen VS machines, and 12-lead EKG
* Airstrip telemetry monitoring for immobile patients
* Floating policy involves rotation with other travel nurses
* Patient experience requirements follow NRC standards
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG/cardiac rhythm identification
* Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs
