Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 rooms
* Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
* Rotating weekend call required
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* No time off requests permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
* Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCI RCIS, ARRT R, and state license if applicable
* Epic charting system experience preferred; also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* Key skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, pacemaker insertion, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and endovascular interventions
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
