Opportunity:

Mammography Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with late hours until 8:30 PM as needed
* Every other Saturday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM required; a day off during the week will be provided when a Saturday is scheduled
* Schedule posted one week in advance
* Float between 4 sites: Shoreline Medical Center (Guilford), North Haven Medical Center (North Haven), Long Wharf Medical Center (New Haven), and Smilow Cancer Hospital (New Haven)
* 2-3 weekend shifts per month required
* Guaranteed hours provided
* 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Cross training as Breast Sonographer preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ARRT M, ARRT R, BLS, Breast Ultrasound
* Experience with Hologic equipment required
* Skills required include: 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Digital Mammography, Hologic 3D, Screening Mammograms, Radiation Safety, Inpatient, Outpatient, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Universal Precautions/Core Measures
* Scrub color: Teal tops and bottoms
* Patients served are adults
* Interdisciplinary support available through Radiology

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 1,567 total staffed beds. The organization operates multiple medical center locations throughout the region, providing comprehensive healthcare services including advanced cancer care and radiology services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care across its network of sites.
