Job Details:

* Shifts are open at this time - let us know what the clinician is looking for
* 13-week contracts or longer available; open to direct hire and permanent opportunities as well
* Onboard at Ruby location for at least one to two weeks before transitioning to Berkeley Medical Center
* One week unit orientation provided
* Mandatory call required - one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month
* Call response time is 30 minutes; housing available on-site for call if needed
* Holiday call coverage required as needed
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
* May be required to float within other services of the OR
* Charge person present each day in the OR
* Scrub color: Ceil blue surgical scrubs, hospital provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Must have experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery - no new travelers or new clinicians
* Travel experience strongly preferred
* Common cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant
* Thoracic surgery cases include robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy, POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport, EGD, and GI/respiratory stents
* Vascular surgery cases include diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation
* Acute care setting

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital offering a comprehensive surgical program encompassing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. The operating room environment supports both traditional open and advanced robotic and endoscopic surgical techniques. The facility maintains a structured OR team with daily charge coverage and provides on-site housing support for clinicians during call shifts, reflecting a strong commitment to staff support and patient care excellence.
