Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Emergency Department unit with 24 beds and a staff of 45
* Patient ratios of 4:1, with 5:1 during surge periods
* Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT
* Use GE monitors and document using Meditech/CPN EMR system
* Perform procedures including port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKG, and Foley placement
* At least 1 year of current hospital ED experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC (CPI Blue Card required; PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
* Preferred certifications: CEN, CPEN, US IV competency
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred for pediatric ED coverage

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital with a dedicated Emergency Department offering comprehensive emergency and trauma services. The unit is well-equipped with modern GE monitoring technology and utilizes an established EMR system to support clinical workflows.
