RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be required to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* Self-scheduling format
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS
* Charting system: Epic (experience required) and Mediteach
* Scrub color: Any color
* Free parking available
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 392 staffed beds and a busy emergency department with 24 rooms and 44 beds, maintaining a daily census of 185 patients and approximately 205 visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care covering all emergency department diagnoses and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team. The organization maintains high standards for patient care across all age groups and offers a well-equipped environment for healthcare professionals.
