Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Room

Job Details:

* Work in a 24-bed Emergency Room on the first floor
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Day and night shifts available with team consisting of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters per shift
* Minimum 2 weekends required per month
* No on-call responsibilities
* No floating to other units
* Royal blue scrubs required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC (must have one or the other)
* TNCC, ATCN, or CEN certification preferred
* Perform acute care and assessment of emergency room patients in a Level III trauma center, accredited chest pain center, and primary stroke center
* Perform IV initiation, blood collection, blood transfusions, and medication administration
* Provide resuscitation of adult and pediatric patients and care for behavioral health patients
* Assist with intubation, restraint application, splinting, and moderate sedation
* Operate Level 1, Lucas, Welch Allen vital sign machines, GE bedside monitors, and EKG machines
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Must be team-oriented and willing to be flexible with placement on the unit including triage and resuscitation rooms

This facility is a Level III trauma center, accredited chest pain center, and primary stroke center offering comprehensive emergency services. The emergency department operates 24 beds and is staffed around the clock with a dedicated team of charge nurses, registered nurses, paramedics, and support staff.
