Opportunity:

RN - MS Tele/PCU

Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Primarily MS Tele/PCU patient population
* Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required
* Float within the hospital as needed
* Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
* Must be available to work every other holiday
* Pre-approved time off: two days
* Orientation hours: 12
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Two supervisor references preferred
* Key skills include: cardiac telemetry, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care/management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), cardiac drip management (no titration), vasoactive drip management (no titration), PICC line management, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Possible drips include: Heparin (per protocol), Bumex, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone (per protocol), and Dopamine
* No insulin drips; hypoglycemic/insulin protocols in use
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics

This facility is a community hospital offering a comprehensive range of medical and telemetry services. The unit primarily serves MS Tele/PCU patients with a daily census of approximately 30 patients across 35 beds. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy, ensuring a collaborative care environment for both patients and clinical staff.
