Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Work in a 38-bed emergency department including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area
* Self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts required per month
* Patient ratios are variable depending on acuity and volume
* Work with standard emergency and trauma equipment
* Utilize Meditech EMR system
* Royal blue scrubs required (branded preferable)
* Perform procedures related to certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases
* No floating required, however cross-training for sister facility may be available
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
* SAMA, CPI, or equivalent required (30-day grace period available if not currently held)
* ENPC preferred
* Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility required
* Ideal candidate is easy going, flexible, positive, and maintains a patient-first philosophy

This emergency department is a comprehensive, high-acuity facility featuring 38 beds that include specialized trauma bays, a burn room, a psychiatric room, and a vertical treatment area. The facility holds certifications as a chest pain center, comprehensive stroke center, Level 1 trauma center, and accredited burn center, reflecting its commitment to delivering advanced emergency care across a wide range of critical conditions. The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries, with a free charge nurse always available.
