Open Position: RN - OR ICU/SICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2066.16

Opportunity:

RN - Neuro ICU

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Three 12-hour shifts per week
* Every other weekend required (or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)
* 32-bed unit with 2:1 patient ratios
* Unit Secretary available from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Float to like units including NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry units, Progressive Care Unit, Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and other units as per overall hospital need
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; ICU experience strongly preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certification: TNCC (not required)
* Skills required include trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, ventilator management, chest tube management, care of post-op surgical patients, cardiac rhythm identification and management, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of stroke patients
* Advanced skills required: hemodynamic and ventilator management
* Procedures performed on unit include chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, arterial line and central line placement
* Dress code: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts), navy or black scrub bottoms, navy/white/black solid color jackets and undershirts

Facility:

This facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 1 Trauma Center, offering a high-acuity environment with a dedicated Neuro ICU consisting of 16 MICU beds and 16 SICU beds. The unit is equipped to handle complex neurological and surgical cases with advanced procedures performed on-site, making it an excellent environment for experienced ICU nurses looking to expand their clinical skills.
