Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
* Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
* First to float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum when needed
* 1 week of floor-specific orientation provided
* Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within the first week of onboarding (maximum 2 attempts)
* Must pass a pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation (study guides provided)
* Must have experience with C-sections including ability to confidently circulate and recover C-sections
* Must have computer charting experience, preferably Cerner
* Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: mostly 2:1 depending on acuity, Antepartum can be 4:1, C-sections 1:1
* Required to titrate Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate drips per protocol
* Work with common diagnoses including laboring or preterm pregnant patients (28 weeks gestation and greater)
* Unit consists of 18 LDRPs, 14-bed OB triage, and 8-bed Antepartum
* EMR system: Cerner
* EFM system: Fetal Link
* Scrub color: Blue
* No on-call or standby required (voluntary only)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level II Equip center accepting gestations of 28 weeks and greater, as well as a Level 1 Trauma Center. The Labor and Delivery unit averages 8-10 deliveries per day and is supported by 2 fully equipped OR suites for C-sections. The facility provides comprehensive around-the-clock support services including OB Hospitalist, anesthesia, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and an IV team, ensuring a well-resourced environment for both patients and clinical staff.
