Opportunity:

RN - Surgical Center/Pre-Op

Job Details:

* Day shift options include 8-hour or 10-hour shifts with start times of 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
* 3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts per week
* Rotating weekend requirement: 8-hour shift (7:00 AM-3:00 PM) on Saturday or Sunday
* 1 weekend scheduled day and one 2nd call day per 4-week schedule
* 1-2 second call shifts every schedule (per month), which includes a 24-hour call shift on weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* Floating to OR holding area may be required
* Facility handles 55-70 cases per day across 15 suites
* Common cases include all procedures including same-day and overnight stays
* IV skills are required
* Surgical care knowledge and robotics experience required
* Pre-op care is the primary responsibility for RNs (scrubbing required for pre-op care only)
* EMR system is currently Sunrise with EPIC go-live transition
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
* Any licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS
* BSN not required

This acute care facility operates a surgical center and pre-op department that handles a high volume of cases, including same-day and overnight procedures. The department features 15 suites and supports a wide range of surgical procedures utilizing advanced technology including robotics. The facility provides scrubs and maintains a structured orientation program specific to the surgical center and pre-op unit.
