Job Details:

* Work 3x12 variable shifts in a General Emergency Department setting
* Weekend requirement of at least every other weekend, may vary based on department needs
* Float to Edmonds and other campuses on occasion as needed
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of emergency department experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Patient ratio experience of 1:4 required
* Treat patients across all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with approximately 10% pediatric patient population
* Manage general ED diagnoses including sepsis, AMI, respiratory conditions, abdominal pain, bone fractures, heart failure, chest pain, and stroke
* Manage psychiatric patients including involuntary status, medical psych, restraints, seclusion, and voluntary status
* Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Required procedures include breathing treatments, chest tube set-up and care, CPAP/BiPAP, RSI rapid sequence intubation, trach care, cardioversion and defibrillation, warming blanket, obtaining 12-lead EKG, drains, feeding tubes, PICC and central lines, Port-A-Cath and vascular device access and care, syringe pumps, and triple lumen catheter
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs and Leads
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal process
* Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a fully equipped emergency department with 18 beds and sees approximately 65 patient visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The emergency department is supported by ER Techs and handles a wide variety of acute care cases, with no ICU or labor and delivery services at this location.
