RN - Recovery Room

Job Details:

* Work 4x10-hour shifts with varied shifts and rotating days of the week (Monday through Friday)
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Call requirements include 2 weeknight calls and 1 weekend day call per schedule period
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Minimum 2 years of Recovery Room experience required
* Prior travel experience required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Provide optimal patient care utilizing nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients across age groups
* Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as needed
* Fast-paced, high-volume environment serving a large regional area
* Low census call-offs of up to 48 hours may occur per 13-week contract without penalty, either full or partial shifts

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced medical center serving a 500-mile radius, operating at the volume and pace of a Level I trauma center. It holds Level II Trauma Center designation and Stroke accreditation, with 800 inpatient beds. The facility is nationally recognized in the top 1% of hospitals for outstanding care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures. Comprehensive services include primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, surgical services, lab services, and X-ray and imaging.
