Opportunity:

MedSurg RN (Renal)

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:6-7 patients per nurse
* Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
* No on-call responsibilities required
* May be required to float to other med/surg units as needed to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking available
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Required skills include: CVA care, feeding tube care and management, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility is a medical center offering a comprehensive range of inpatient services with a dedicated med/surg renal unit. The unit operates with a daily census of 36 patients across 36 rooms and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and provides free parking for staff.
