Open Position: RN - CICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2122.60

Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week required
* Alternating weekend schedule
* Patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
* Unit operates with RNs only - no HUC or PCT support
* 16-bed cardiac intensive care unit
* Required scrub colors: all navy or navy and white (no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work)
* ICU experience required
* Must be proficient in titration of vasopressor and vesicant medications, sedation, and paralytics
* Must have experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care
* Must be proficient in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
* Must have experience with PA catheter setup and interpretation, transvenous pacing, cardioversion, and TEE
* Experience with chest tube insertions and maintenance required
* Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Equipment used: Ventilator, telemetry, Baxter IV pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
* Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
* CCRN certification recommended but not required
* Travelers are expected to float to all areas
