Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour mid-shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Every other weekend required with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Holiday shifts required as needed
* No on-call or float requirements
* Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* 14-room free standing emergency department including a resuscitation room
* Self-scheduling with block schedule requests subject to approval
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 36 orientation hours required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Free parking available
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Provide care for conditions including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, CVA, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and more
* Perform procedures including triage, IV placement, blood product administration, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, and management of dysrhythmias
* Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, central lines, chest tubes, and IV vasopressors
* Interdisciplinary support available including phlebotomy and radiology
* 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Epic charting experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license required and must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

This free-standing emergency department features 14 rooms including a dedicated resuscitation room, providing comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers interdisciplinary support through phlebotomy and radiology services.
