RN - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours of 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or night shift hours of 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
* First to float to telemetry unit and must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
* Rotate into permanent staff holiday rotation and expected to work holidays
* Float pool position covering MedSurg and Telemetry units
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips - basic arrhythmia course certification preferred
* Experience with BiPAP and CPAP ventilator management required
* Common patient diagnoses include ESRD, diabetes, COPD, and ETOH
* Charge nurse available and does not typically take patients
* Nurse aides available unless pulled for sitters with ratios ranging from 1:8 to 1:36 depending on staffing
* Hospitalist in house through Sound Physician Hospitalist program
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 24/7
* No IV team on site
* Charting system: Cerner PowerChart
* Scrub color: Blue
* BSN not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
