Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* Holiday shifts required
* Schedule is determined by manager - block scheduling is not available
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
* Float to all med/surg units as needed
* Monitor and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and med/surg tele conditions
* Read telemetry strips independently - tele monitor techs monitor patients but RNs must be able to read strips
* Manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment
* Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) present on unit at a 12:1 ratio
* Charge Nurse, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators available for support
* Charting completed using EPIC system
* Strong communication and time management skills required
* Navy blue scrubs required
* BLS Certification required
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates under a Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model and houses a 24-bed med/surg telemetry unit. The organization provides comprehensive support through an available Charge Nurse, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators to ensure quality patient care. The facility is equipped with advanced monitoring technology and respiratory equipment to support a diverse patient population with complex medical needs.
