Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
* Every other weekend required
* 48-hour weeks approved
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1 RN to 4 patients across days, nights, and weekends
* Clinician will be required to work in ED holding
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* High acuity emergency department serving as a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases
* Adult ED primarily serving patients 18 years and older; trauma patients 15 years and older
* Approximately 175 patient visits per day with at least 50 ambulance presentations daily
* 50-room/50-bed emergency department
* Perform STEMI care to cath lab, stroke care to IR, and trauma care to definitive care (OR or ICU)
* Operate Level I Rapid Infuser, Zoll defibrillators, Phillips defibrillators, and Phillips monitors
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Required skills: continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

This facility operates a high-acuity adult emergency department that serves as the highest level of care in the region, functioning as a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases. The emergency department features 50 rooms and sees approximately 175 patient visits per day, including multiple cardiac, stroke, and trauma presentations. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
