Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Provide nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit
* Care for patients across age groups including adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
* Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy including blood products
* Maintain care of indwelling catheters and drains
* Safely operate medical equipment including glucose meters, IV pumps, and PCA machines
* Provide epidural management and care of acute post-operative wounds using sterile technique
* Assess vascular patency and monitor physiological changes
* Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with healthcare team
* Educate patients and families on care using age and condition-appropriate teaching methods
* Delegate patient care tasks to ancillary personnel based on competency and scope of practice
* Medical/surgical floor experience preferred
* Epic EMR experience required
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the field required
* Required certifications: BLS (from approved vendor)
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
