Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 13-week assignment
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Rotating weekends or 4 weekend shifts per schedule; holidays per unit policy
* No on-call requirements
* 2+ years of emergency room experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
* Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
* Perform procedures including urgent care, stroke response, STEMI care, and pediatric care
* Required to float per facility floating policy
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, Navy or white scrub jacket
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

Facility:

This freestanding emergency center operates 24/7, 365 days a year and was the first of its kind in South and Central Texas. The facility features 15 treatment rooms, including two trauma/cardiac care rooms, five emergency/treatment rooms, four fast-track non-urgent treatment rooms, and four observation beds for 24-hour monitoring. A full range of services is available including radiology, full-service laboratory, and telemetry, as well as on-site diagnostic equipment such as a 16-slice CT scanner, dedicated X-ray suite, ultrasound, and telemetry equipment. The center provides air and ground transport to San Antonio for critically ill or injured patients and offers direct access to advanced trauma services and expert resources at associated healthcare facilities.
