Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Schedule is created by leadership for 6-week blocks; travelers are expected to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
* 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation
* Rare call or standby requirement for low census situations
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Unit consists of a 12-bed LDRP with 1 C-Section room and approximately 300 births per year
* Follows AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 ratio for labor patients and 1:2-3 ratio for couplets
* Must have a minimum of 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years
* Must be comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
* Must have triage experience
* Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-sections
* Required to titrate drips including Pitocin and Mag
* At times the unit will take overflow mastectomy patients; orientation to these patients will be provided
* Floating requirements are rare but may include floating within Zone 3 in cases of extreme need
* 1-3 shifts of orientation with a preceptor provided
* All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
* Blue hospital scrubs provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Travel experience preferred
