Job Details:

* Night shift position in a 10-bed ICU
* 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
* 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling available (self-scheduling does not guarantee all requested shifts)
* Holiday requirements apply
* Call or standby requirements determined by nurse manager
* Floating may be required to other acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; may also float within Zone 4 or be utilized as a CNA if needed
* RNs required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
* Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, extremity pain, and insulin drips
* Respiratory therapy available in ICU 24/7 with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
* Telemetry monitors available with tele tech on duty 24/7 monitoring telemetry and ICU patients using GE monitors
* Hospitalist or intensivist in house
* Charge nurse takes an assignment; no nurse aides on the unit
* Seasoned ICU RN experience required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must be within 60 miles of facility; driver's license must be submitted
* Must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote

This acute care facility features a 10-bed ICU that is reopening and seeking experienced critical care nurses to support its patient population. The facility offers comprehensive support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, telemetry monitoring, and in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting and GE monitors for telemetry, providing a well-equipped environment for delivering high-quality patient care.
