Opportunity:

RN Nursery/NICU

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour shifts per week with various days of the week
* 12 weekend shifts required per contract based on unit needs
* On-call required per unit needs
* May be required to float to sister facilities within the South region based on facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on days
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, NRP
* Required skills include: newborn assessment, phototherapy, phlebotomy, IV antibiotics, thermoregulation, neonatal abstinence syndrome care, metabolic screening, cord care, car seat education, baby friendly protocols, vaccine administration, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Special procedures include: circumcision, D10 drip, CPAP, lumbar puncture, car seat trial, room air trial, and respite care
* Special equipment includes: IV/CPAP, Panda Warmer, and Giraffe Warmer
* Patient population includes neonates and infants with diagnoses such as hypoxemia, hypoglycemia, infection, and healthy newborns
* Unit has 24 rooms/beds with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
