Opportunity:

RN PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Assignment is in preparation for the Neuro PCU transition effective 11/1/26
* Located on the 5th Floor, Tower B of the facility
* 34-bed Neuro PCU unit with a patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility up to 1:5
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RNs, and 4 PCTs
* Work with telemetry equipment and Meditech EMR system
* No on-call requirement
* First to float when floating is required
* 4 weekends required per 4-week schedule and must work 2 major holidays
* Neuro background preferred
* Typical procedures include AMS, TBI, CVA, TIA, seizures, EMU, post-op crani (not immediate post-op), trauma with downgraded TBI, and neuro checks up to every 4 hours
* Will accept patients with radial access/no intervention, pacemakers, ortho, spine (cleared by NSGY), cardiac, and MS Neuro
* Must follow stroke-specific documentation per DNV
* Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS
* Team player personality preferred

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization operating a specialized Neuro Progressive Care Unit currently undergoing a transition to expand its neurological care capabilities. The unit is staffed with experienced nurses and patient care technicians and utilizes modern telemetry equipment alongside the Meditech electronic medical records system. The organization is committed to high-quality neurological patient care and follows stroke-specific documentation standards as required by DNV accreditation.
