Opportunity:

RN - Long Term Antibiotics (10 West)

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekends and holidays required as scheduled
* Acute care setting with 22 private rooms
* Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
* Charge nurse responsibilities may apply with 2-4 patients at times
* Care for patients with long-term antibiotic needs including infections such as endocarditis, abscesses, septic arthritis, sepsis, osteomyelitis, and diabetic foot infections
* Experience working with patients who have underlying substance use histories required
* Must be comfortable working with patients who may be actively using or withdrawing from substances
* Must be able to manage challenging or escalating situations related to complex patient behaviors
* Strong neurological nursing experience required
* Titration performed by physician orders in a step-down setting with possible protocols provided during orientation
* Portable telemetry packs used for cardiac monitoring
* Charting completed using EPIC system
* 1-2 orientation shifts with a preceptor on the unit
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* BSN not required
