Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour contract options available
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an ER setting required
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-5 weekend shifts per 6 weeks required
* For 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shifts, Friday and Saturday are counted as weekends
* For 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM shifts, Saturday and Sunday are counted as weekends
* Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
* No Trauma Level I experience necessary; travel experience preferred but not required
* Treats patients across all age groups including infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC (PALS can be used to meet this requirement), TNCC, NIHSS
* Additional required exams upon onboarding: Advanced Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, EKG Onboarding exam, ED Competency exam, ED skills, and CORE exams
* Kentucky or compact nursing license required
* At least 1 reference required at time of submission
* Requested time off must be presented at time of submission; time off requests submitted after offer will not be approved
* Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted at this facility

Facility:

This large emergency department facility operates with 84 rooms and 100 beds, managing a daily census of approximately 90 patients and up to 250 visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The emergency department is well-equipped to handle a wide variety of patient needs across all age groups.
