Opportunity:

Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM)
* On-call requirement of 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday of call
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
* Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
* Round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals
* Service and troubleshoot Durable MCS devices (HM3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella devices both inpatient and in clinic
* Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong working knowledge of cardiac mechanical support devices
* Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
* Minimum 1 year of clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients preferred
* 1 year of CTICU experience is a plus
* Must have a strong cardiac background with VAD, IABP, and Impella experience
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license in hand required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS
* Required skills: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Hemodynamic Monitoring
* Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The organization provides a full spectrum of advanced cardiac care services and supports a multidisciplinary approach to managing complex heart failure patients both in inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is equipped to support specialized cardiac mechanical support programs.
