Job Details:

* Day/Evening shift schedule, 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM
* Schedule and start times rotate
* On-call requirement of at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule, with potential for more based on need
* Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures
* Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care
* Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment
* Competently circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures
* Apply principles of aseptic technique consistently
* Safely operate all equipment routinely utilized in the Operating Room
* Prepare patients for surgery including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning
* Perform pre, intra, and post procedure patient care planning and assessment
* Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials from operative procedures
* Document temperature of tissue/allografts, verify package integrity, and deliver to sterile field per manufacturer guidelines
* Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience required
* Must have Epic experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Minimum one year of full-time Operating Room experience required
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* CNOR certification preferred

Facility:

This 162-bed acute care facility has been providing care to the community since 1959. The facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county-designated trauma center, offering comprehensive surgical services and specialized care across a wide range of medical disciplines.
