Job Details:

* Must have Neuro/Spine experience
* Work in a 25-procedure room Emergency Department with additional 8 hallway beds utilized 24/7 and a 4-bed secure psychiatric annex
* Patient ratio of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surge periods
* Every other weekend required for contract labor
* No floating to other units
* Perform procedures including trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, ultrasound IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKGs, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care
* Work with equipment including U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
* Use Sunrise/Allscripts EMR system
* Treat patient population including those with multiple comorbidities, complicated heart conditions, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, and Stroke
* Work under policy-driven protocols based on chief complaint, including ordering labs, EKGs, X-rays, and medications
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC
* Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills required
* Dependability and punctuality are essential
* Strong understanding of medical terminology required
* Strong understanding of EKG interpretation preferred
* Scrubs required; no hooded shirts or sweatshirts permitted

This healthcare facility features a busy Emergency Department with 25 procedure rooms, 8 hallway beds in continuous use, and a secure 4-bed psychiatric annex. The department is staffed by a large team of 88 combined clinical staff and operates around the clock with dedicated charge nurses, registered nurses, ED technicians, and resource personnel. The facility is equipped with advanced medical technology and follows structured protocol-based care to support high-acuity patient populations.
