Open Position: OT - COTA Acute Care

Job Details:

* 5x8 day shifts with every 4th weekend required
* Shift times: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* 40 hours guaranteed per week
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Acute care experience required
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Required certifications: BLS
* Active Minnesota license required
* Provide general acute care including medical, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care
* Work in an Acute Rehab Facility with an average patient length of stay of 2 weeks and a high percentage of stroke patients
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Average daily census of 140 patients with approximately 12 visits per day
* Patient diagnoses include pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, cellulitis, stroke, brain injury, total joint replacements, trauma, cancer diagnoses, cardiac conditions, and critical care patients
* Operate and utilize special equipment including ceiling lifts, floor-based lifts, floor-based stand-assist devices, Hovermatt, and Hoverjack
* Travelers must reside at least 25 miles from the facility to be eligible

This facility is a large acute care hospital offering a comprehensive range of medical services including general medical, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care. The facility also operates an Acute Rehabilitation unit with a focus on stroke recovery and rehabilitation. With a daily census of 140 patients, the organization provides care across multiple specialties and supports an interdisciplinary approach to patient treatment.
