Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times: Days 7:00 AM 7:30 PM, Evenings 11:00 AM 11:30 PM, and Nights 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
* Travelers will be last to sign up for scheduling and must remain flexible to fill gaps in permanent staff schedules
* Block scheduling will not be accommodated; may be asked to trade shifts with staff and/or rotate between shifts
* Every other weekend required; Night shift weekends are Friday and Saturday, Day shift weekends are Saturday and Sunday
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Handle 25?28 treatments per 8-hour shift equivalent across a 12-hour shift
* Provide respiratory therapy coverage across NICU Level IIB, MICU, Peds, Adults, Geriatrics, PACU, and overnight oximetry
* Cover ER and all inpatient floors
* Must be comfortable floating between all specialties including ICU, MICU, Med-Surg Telemetry, and ER
* Must be comfortable going to deliveries and initiating CPAP in the NICU Level II setting
* Perform ABGs (radial or brachial), all respiratory treatments, and manage patients on respiratory equipment
* Assist with intubation (assisting only, not independently)
* Operate equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC
* May be asked to float to sister facilities within Treasure Valley (approximately 10?14 miles away) with a minimum 60-minute heads-up prior to shift
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
* Must be able to treat Adults, Pediatrics, and NICU patients
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Any color; clean and professional appearance required
* 1?2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor (typically 1 day of NICU/General and 1 day of ICU)
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (AHA)
* RRT required; CRT not accepted

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive respiratory therapy department covering a wide range of patient populations including NICU Level IIB, MICU, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics. The department is supported around the clock by Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Anesthesia, with eICU available during night hours. The facility maintains a well-staffed environment with supervisory charge staff on both day and night shifts to support and resource therapy staff.
