Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical

Job Details:

* Work on a 30-bed medical/surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* No block scheduling guaranteed
* Float between 2 North and 2 West units
* Work with equipment including wound vac, heparin drip, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry
* Document using Editech system
* Unit staffing includes 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
* Must be proficient in IV starts, nasogastric tube placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm recognition
* Advanced skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation required
* Perform lab draws and IV starts on unit
* Maintain a positive attitude, meet needs of patients and families, perform service recovery as necessary, and escalate problems through chain of command
* Required certification: BLS
* Navy scrubs required; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
