RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed is an option
* Work on a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (7N)
* Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* 3 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule; Friday and Saturday nights, Saturday and Sunday days
* Float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU as needed
* Must have experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips
* NIH certification preferred
* Required certification: ACLS
* Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines
* EMR system: Meditech
* Grey scrubs required for RNs
* Fast-paced, high energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork preferred

Facility:

This facility operates a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit staffed by approximately 70 team members, providing specialized cardiac care in a fast-paced environment. The unit is equipped with modern technology including Pyxis medication dispensing systems, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines, supported by the Meditech EMR system. The organization emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care across multiple specialty units including telemetry, med-surg, and PCU.
