Job Details:

* Night shift position working 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
* This is a 0.3 role
* Call required as needed
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, preferably in obstetrics
* Vaginal delivery experience required
* Cesarean section experience required
* EPIC experience required
* Surgical scrub experience preferred
* Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification preferred
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
* Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required
* Assist in preparation of patient rooms and provide turnover of patient areas
* Open sterile supplies and set up for procedures utilizing aseptic technique
* Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, providing needed supplies and instruments
* Participate in timeouts on each case
* Assist nursing staff in deliveries including preparation, positioning, transports, transfer, and discharge of patients
* Collect urinalysis specimens and take and record maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake and output measurements
* Perform personal care services and assist with activities of daily living for patients
* General unit tasks include turning rooms over, stocking, assembling charts, answering phones, responding to call lights, taking vital signs, and updating census logs

This facility has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977 and is comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility. The team provides exceptional care across a wide range of services including emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical, and outpatient services.
