Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2147.32

Opportunity:

CVOR - 1100-2230 with cardiac call - will do other cases if no cardiac

Job Details:

* Shifts run from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM with cardiac call required
* Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
* Cardiac call is required with approximately 6 call shifts minimum per month, varying based on staffing availability (1 per weekday and 2 weekend shifts, with weekends being 24-hour shifts); may increase up to 10 if short-staffed
* Manager will discuss shift options, weekend requirements, and on-call expectations during phone interview
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required, including floating to sister facilities
* Block scheduling is not available
* Minimum 18 months of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Strong CVOR and vascular experience required; 3+ years strongly preferred
* Must have experience in Cardiac OR and be able to review setup and begin call; may perform other cases when no CVOR cases are scheduled
* Must be willing to participate in training with students and new staff, as this is a teaching facility
* NBSTSA and/or NCCT certification preferred but not required
* BLS certification required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue

* All RTO must be submitted at the time of application and will not be reviewed if added afterward
* Facility is smoke-free; all travelers must be nicotine-free with no exceptions
* Required skills include but are not limited to: CVOR, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), TAVR, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, TEVAR, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Carotid Endarterectomy, VATS, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, and general OR procedures

Facility:

This short-term acute care teaching facility features 230 staffed beds and 18 operating rooms, with a daily census of 55-60 cases. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties with a strong emphasis on cardiovascular and vascular procedures. As a teaching institution, the facility is committed to staff development and participation in training programs for students and new personnel.
