Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Department
* Required to self-schedule a minimum of 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Holiday requirements apply
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
* Treat 75+ patients per day across a 54-bed Emergency Department with trauma bays
* Facility features Fast Track, separate triage area, separate holding area, and dedicated Psych/seclusion rooms
* Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injuries, and extremity pain
* Administer and manage cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia drips
* Work alongside Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 for vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment
* Perform or assist with lab draws alongside phlebotomy team
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* May float within Zone 1 if needed
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, NRP, TNCC

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Emergency Department with 54 beds and trauma bays, holding a Level III Trauma designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center certification. The department is equipped with in-house security available 24/7, dedicated psychiatric and seclusion rooms, on-site X-ray and CT capabilities, and respiratory therapy support around the clock. The facility maintains a fast-paced environment treating a high volume of patients daily with a strong multidisciplinary team approach to emergency care.
