Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement (2 weekend shifts per two-week period)
* Holiday requirements include 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day)
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
* 26-bed Telemetry unit serving Med/Surge, Gastro, and Telemetry patients
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, and Cardizem
* Must be knowledgeable in cardiac rhythms (no telemetry monitor techs on unit; RNs do not read strips but must know the rhythm)
* Work alongside patient care techs who assist with vitals, glucose monitoring, baths, ambulation, I&Os, and emptying drains
* May work with BiPap, C-Pap, and High Flow O2 equipment (troubleshooting only)
* Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes a patient assignment
* Self-scheduling available with requirement to maintain a balanced schedule
* May be expected to float to other departments
* Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue
* 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)

This acute care facility operates a 26-bed Telemetry unit providing comprehensive medical care across multiple specialties including Med/Surge, Gastro, and Telemetry. The unit maintains structured nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure quality patient care and is supported by patient care technicians and charge nurses on every shift. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and is equipped with modern respiratory equipment to support diverse patient needs.
